I’m originally from the Suffolk countryside in England, but moved to Vancouver Island in Canada in 2009. For as long as I can remember I’ve been drawing and making things and I love to learn. After my degree in Creative Arts I studied illustration at Central Saint Martins in London and then obtained a Professional Diploma in Interior Design. For the past two years I have been focused on refining my skills for the illustration and surface pattern design market and this is what makes me truly happy.
My inspiration comes particularly from the Canadian West Coast botanicals and beaches, memories of an English childhood, vintage fabrics and 1950s children’s books.
I mostly work digitally, using my iPad Pro and Photoshop. I love creating my own digital brushes to look like real mediums so I can combine the texture of paints and pastels with the convenience and speed of digital drawing. I also enjoy playing with ink pens, collage, watercolour and crayons. When I’m not drawing, I can be found playing with my kids, singing with my choir, making jewelery or going on long walks with my dog.
